The first project completed in this course was an audio-visual assignment. The goal of this project was to introduce skills required to create a video broadcast and attain basic production skills. In this project, the prompt was to choose a topic that reached a local and national level. The topic I chose to explore involved first impressions and job interviews. I interviewed students at the College of Textiles as well as the Career Services Director, Kent Hester. In this project, I was introduced to using a video camera and editing software including IMovie and Windows Movie Maker. This was my first video I've ever attempted and have learned various ways to improve my skills such as framing, sound clarity, lighting, and basic editing skills.
